11.3.2 Schottky for Current Surge Protection
To prevent the possibility of large ground currents into the TPS65981 during sudden disconnects because of inductive effects in a cable, TI recommends that a Schottky be placed from VBUS to GND as shown in Figure 11-1. The NSR20F30NXT5G is recommended.
